Lately I have been sitting out on my deck wondering when Mother Nature was going to decide to purge humans from her playground. We do not seem to be doing such a good job playing with other children unless they look, think, and act just like us (of course, that means white, middle class, and conservative christian or so I am told).

Ah well, we will figure it out or die.

Sure, I am thankful I am not a cat or dog or pig. Maybe I am some of those. However, there are times where I watch the animal channel and think, "Those lions and tigers and bears just do life better." (Oh, my.)

They eat and look like they enjoy it. No calorie counting. No treadmills. No gym memberships.

They have sex and do it often (okay, so not always true but allow for some playtime here).

They lay around much of the time.

Look, no deep thoughts here. I dig that I am human and can think and love and be this "higher" level of primate. Yet, sometimes it is nice to just exist. Existing is underrated.
